Ingredients
- 1/2 pound snow peas
- 1/4 c. sliced water chestnuts
- 1 tbsp. minced scallions
- 1/2 clove garlic, chopped
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1/2 c. chicken stock made with bouillon cube
- 1 c. cooked pork, shrimp or possibly beef
Directions
- Remove the tips from the snow peas and remove the strings as well. Heat oil in frying pan and saute/fry the scallions and garlic. Add in the snow peas, sliced water chestnuts and soy sauce and cook for 1 minute. Add in the chicken stock, cover the pan and cook for 2 more min.
- Now mix the cornstarch with water and add in to the pan, stirring constantly till the sauce thickens, about 1 minute. Cooked meat or possibly shrimp may be added here if you like. Serve warm over rice.
