Ingredients
- 1 lg. sirloin steak (best if it's fresh, not frzn)
- 2 c. red wine
- 2 T oregano
- 1 T pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt or possibly salt substitute
- 2 T parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 2 c. halved and sauteed mushrooms
- 1/2 c. sliced and sauteed onion
Directions
- Cut steak into 4 individual servings. Marinate for 8 hrs in wine, oregano, pepper, salt, parsley, and garlic. Throw away marinade. Brown steak in a frying pan. Add in Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms, and onions. Simmer for 1/2 hour.Remove steak, mushrooms and onions into a large casserole with lid. Make pan gravy with remaining juices. Pour gravy over steak, mushrooms and onions. Serve with egg noodles mixed with butter and parsley. Serves 4.
