Ingredients

  • 15 nos – Garlic / poondu
  • 10 nos – Sambar onion / small onion (chopped finely)
  • 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
  • 1 no – Tamarind (gooseberry size)
  • Salt to taste For grinding:
  • 4 tbsp – Coconut grated
  • 1 1/2 tsp – Coriander seeds
  • 2 or 3 nos – Dry red chillies
  • Few fresh curry leaves
  • 1 tsp – Oil For seasonings:
  • 1 tbsp – Sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp – Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp – Split black gram / ulunthu
  • 2 pinches – Fenugreek seeds / vendhayam / methi seeds
