Directions

  1. 1. Brown meat and vegetables together. Drain fat.
  2. 2. Drain and reserve liquid from corn, beans and tomatoes.
  3. 3. Add in liquid only, with chili pwdr and salt to meat mix. Simmer uncovered, till liquid is reduced to half (about 1/2 hour), stir occasionally.
  4. 4. Add in corn, tomatoes and beans. Simmer 15 min.
  5. 5. Combine 1 Tbsp. flour and 2 Tbsp. water, stir into stew and cook and stir till thickened.
  6. 6. Stir in 2 oz sharp American cheese, shredded till melted. Serves 6.
