Ingredients
- 2 c. Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2/3 c. Shortening
- 6 Tbsp. Water, cool
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine, melted
- 4 tsp Sugar, granulated
Directions
- Be sure all ingredients and tools are Cool!
- 1. Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening till mix resembles coarse crumbs.
- 2. Gradually add in water, tossing with fork till a ball forms.
- 3. On a floured surface, roll pastry into rectangle. Place over filling, cut slits in top. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
