Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Ghee or oil or butter
  • 2 Cups Thinly sliced Onions
  • 1 tsp Finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 4 Cups Broth / Stock / Water
  • 1/4 Cup Tightly packed cooked rice
  • 1-1/2 Cooked spinach (recipe follows)
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Heavy Cream
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • 1/2 Lemon thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
