Directions

  1. These cookies are no-bake, named for the look-alike nuts of the state tree of Ohio. This was a sweepstakes winner in its class at Del Mar Fair, 1993.
  2. 1. Line 2 cookie sheets with waxed paper. Beat the peanut butter, margaine and vanilla together till smooth. Slowly beat in powdered sugar and flour till well blended.
  3. 2. Roll rounded teaspoonsful of dough into balls and push up to make a point. Chill till hard.
  4. 3. Dip flat part of cookie into melted chocolate, halfway up. Roll in minced nuts. Place on cookie sheets and put in chill till chocolate is set.
  5. Makes about 60 cookies.
