Linguini With Tomato Basil Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 x cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 c. Italian plum tomatoes, coarsely minced salt and pepper, to taste
  • 18 ounce linguini, or possibly other thin pasta
  • 1 bn fresh basil leaves, no stems, minced
  • 12 Tbsp. parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Directions

  1. Sauteegarlic in extra virgin olive oil till golden brown, but not brown. Add in tomatoes, salt and pepper and simmer over med. heat for 20 min
  2. Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package. When sauce is done simmering, remove from heat and stir in basil. Toss pasta with sauce and serve. Top with cheese.
