Ingredients

  • 2 c. Picked-over blueberries
  • 1 tsp Freshly-grated lemon zest
  • 1/3 c. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2/3 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/8 tsp Grnd cardamom
  • 1/2 c. Heavy cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and butter an 8-inch (1 1/2-qt) glass pie plate.
  2. In a bowl toss together blueberries, zest, sugar, lemon juice and cornstarch till combined well and transfer to pie plate.
  3. Into another bowl sift together flour, baking pwdr, cardamom and a healthy pinch of salt. Add in cream and stir till mix just forms a dough. Drop dough in 5 mounds on blueberry mix and bake in middle of oven till biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, about 25 min.
  4. This recipe yields 2 servings.
