Ingredients

  • 2 c. Jamaica flowers
  • 3/4 c. Sugar
  • 6 c. Water, boiling

Directions

  1. Add in the flowers and sugar to the boiling water, stirring while the mix boils for a minute. Pour the mix into a noncorroxive bowl and steep for 2 hrs. Strian through a sieve, pressing on the flowers to extract as much liquid as possible. Taste for strength and sweetness. If it is to pungent, add in water; if to tart, add in sugar. Cover and chill, stored in a noncorrosive container, till time to serve
  2. NOTE: Jamaica flowers canusually be obtained from a good mexican grocery store.
