Ingredients
- 2 c. Unbleached flour
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 1/3 c. Buttermilk* -- at room Temperature
- 1 1/3 c. Apple juice -- at room Temperature
- 1 Tbsp. Honey
- 4 x Egg whites -- whipped
Directions
- Prepare waffle iron with cooking spray and heat up. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking pwdr, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. In another mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, apple sauce, honey, and egg whites. Add in dry ingredients with wet ingredients just till moistened. Pour sufficient batter to fill two-thirds of the waffle iron. Cook till crisp and golden. Set aside. Repeat with remaining batter.
