- In bowl, combine yeast and water. Stir into yeast mix the flour and sugar.
- On the day you get Herman starter, give it a feeding: 1 c. flour, 1 c. lowfat milk, 1/2 c. sugar. Keep refrigerated in a large bowl with a lid. Stir every day and feed again on the fifth day. Bake him on the tenth day. Stir each day.
- If you want it sooner, feed second time and let set out 24 hrs. Put in big sufficient bowl.
