Directions

  1. Fry all onions, celery, and bell pepper in oil till tender. Add in ham and saute/fry to release some oils and meld the flavors. Add in stock/broth, bay leaf, and basil.
  2. Simmer to reduce slightly (20 to 30 min). Add in cream and return to boil to thicken a bit. Slowly add in cheese - stirring constantly.
  3. Serve immediately. Garnish with green onion.
