%20I%20was%20going%20to%20post%20a%20dinner%20recipe%20today.%20And%20life%20got%20in%20the%20way.%20I%20was%20overly%20stressed%20and%20under-ly%20slept%20and%20sometimes%20you%20just%20need%20bubbles.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20have%20an%20awesome%20basic%20giant%20bubble%20recipe,%20but%20I%20saw%20these%20awhile%20back%20and%20wanted%20to%20take%20things%20to%20the%20next%20level.%20Once%20we%20got%20the%20hang%20of%20things,%20they%20were%20huge%E2%80%93like%20some%20of%20them%20were%2015-20%20feet%20long.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%E2%80%99re%20going%20to%20need%20a%20few%20supplies%20that%20you%20probably%20don%E2%80%99t%20have%20lurking%20in%20your%20cupboards:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Original%20Dawn%20dish%20soap%20(not%20concentrated,%20Ultra,%20or%20anything%E2%80%93just%20regular,%20original%20Dawn.%20Supposedly%20you%20can%20get%20it%20at%20Walmart;%20I%20just%20ordered%20mine%20on%20Amazon%20with%20the%20other,%20stranger%20supplies.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Glycerin.%20You%20can%20find%20it%20in%20the%20cake%20decorating%20supplies%20or%20ask%20a%20pharmacist%E2%80%93they%20often%20have%20it%20behind%20the%20counter.%20I%20also%20just%20ordered%20mine%20from%20Amazon.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*J-Lube.%20This%20is%20both%20the%20most%E2%80%A6unusual%20as%20well%20as%20important%20ingredient.%20It%E2%80%99s%20a%20polymer%20that%20helps%20make%20those%20giant,%20sturdy%20bubbles.%20It%E2%80%99s%20a%20veterinary%20obstetrical%20lubrication%20and%20can%20be%20difficult%20to%20find.%20You%20can%20order%20it%20from%20farm%20supply%20stores%20(if%20you%20live%20in%20a%20farming%20community,%20you%20may%20be%20able%20to%20find%20it%20locally)%20or%20you%20can%20order%20it%20from%20Amazon%20(the%20price%20is%20slightly%20higher,%20but%20it%20may%20offset%20shipping%20costs%20from%20other%20sites.%20Warning:%20some%20of%20the%20Amazon%20reviews/suggested%20products%20are%20a%20little%20graphic%20because,%20believe%20it%20or%20not,%20some%20people%20use%20it%20for%20things%20other%20than%20assisting%20in%20the%20birth%20of%20baby%20animals%20and%20other%20veterinary%20care.%20If%20this%20is%20something%20that%20potentially%20concerns%20you,%20just%20go%20to%20the%20order%20page%20and%20don%E2%80%99t%20scroll%20much%20further.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Baking%20powder.%20This%20improves%20the%20longevity%20and%20strength%20of%20the%20bubbles.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*2%20wooden%20dowels%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*About%206-7%20feet%20of%20100%25%20cotton%20yarn%20(the%20thicker%20the%20better)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Optional:%20A%20weight%20to%20help%20the%20yarn%20from%20getting%20tangled.%20We%20used%20a%20paperclip,%20but%20ended%20up%20having%20better%20results%20when%20we%20removed%20it,%20we%20just%20had%20to%20be%20more%20careful%20not%20to%20get%20tangly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETie%20one%20end%20of%20the%20yarn%20tightly%20near%20the%20top%20of%20one%20of%20the%20dowels%20(you%20can%20notch%20it%20with%20a%20knife%20first%20to%20make%20it%20more%20secure.%20Run%20a%20line%20of%20yarn%20about%201%201/2-2%20feet%20to%20the%20same%20spot%20on%20the%20other%20dowel%20and%20tie%20it%20securely.%20Tie%20the%20remaining%20end%20near%20the%20original%20knot,%20so%20you%20have%20a%20taut%20horizontal%20line%20on%20top%20and%20loose,%20drapey%20yarn%20on%20bottom.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20son%20was%20decidedly%20not%20thrilled%20to%20be%20a%20part%20of%20this.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large,%20very%20clean%20bucket%20or%20container,%20combine%20the%20J-Lube%20and%20the%20baking%20powder.%20Slowly%20whisk%20in%20a%20gallon%20of%20warm%20water%20and%20mix%20until%20combined.%20Add%201%20cup%20of%20Dawn%20and%202%20tablespoons%20of%20glycerin%20and%20stir%20to%20combine%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDip%20the%20yarn%20sticks%20(is%20that%20a%20thing?%20I%20just%20made%20it%20up)%20in%20the%20water.%20When%20you%20pull%20them%20out,%20keep%20the%20sticks%20as%20far%20apart%20as%20possible%20and%20start%20walking%20backwards.%20You%E2%80%99ll%20kind%20of%20get%20a%20feel%20for%20it%20and%20what%20works%20for%20you,%20but%20we%20all%20eventually%20got%20the%20hang%20of%20it!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemember%20the%20grump%20from%20the%20pre-bubble%20experience?%20Yeah,%20that%20didn%E2%80%99t%20last%20long.%20It%20was%20the%20perfect%20thing%20for%20all%20of%20us.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGinormous%20Bubbles%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%20found%20here%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESUPPLIES:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20wooden%20dowels%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6-7%20feet%20100%25%20cotton%20yarn%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVery%20clean%20bucket%20or%20small%20plastic%20storage%20container%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20cleaning%20bucket%20or%20small%20storage%20container,%20combine%20baking%20powder%20and%20J-Lube.%20Slowly%20whisk%20in%20warm%20water%20until%20smooth.%20Add%20glycerin,%20water,%20and%20Dawn.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20bubble%20sticks,%20tie%20one%20end%20of%20the%20yarn%20tightly%20near%20the%20top%20of%20one%20of%20the%20dowels%20(you%20can%20notch%20it%20with%20a%20knife%20first%20to%20make%20it%20more%20secure.%20Run%20a%20li
