Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 4 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 3/4 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup skim milk
- Coarse turbinado or other brown sugar for sanding (I use Sugar in the Raw)
