Ingredients

  • Butter
  • 1 x Egg yolk
  • 3 sht filo pastry
  • 1 Tbsp. Water

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas 4.
  2. Grease a suitable mould (on the outside) with the butter. Beat the egg yolk and mix with a Tbsp. of water. Brush a square sheet of filo with the egg yolk and place a second sheet on the top, brush one more with the eggwash and repeat the process a third time.
  3. Place the sheets over the greased mould and bake at 180C/350F/gas 4 for 3-4 min. Remove and cold.
  4. Remove from the mould while still hot and keep ready to use.
