Easy, Saucy, Steak Pizzaiola (Meatless too!) Recipe

A few months ago I posted a Meatless Steak Pizzaiola recipe from my upcoming cookbook, Homestyle Meals Made Meatless. It has become one of our most popular posts. (You can read the original here). So today I am making it even easier plus including the beef version for all you non-vegetarians, using our Mama’s Mediterranean Red Wine Sauce mix.

Heat 2 Tbsp olive oil in a skillet. Brown a two pound steak (about an inch thick) on each side, about 3 minutes. Remove steak from skillet and set aside. Add 1 bell pepper (diced) and 4 ounces of sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook 3-4 minutes or until tender.
