Ingredients

  • 4 x Beef tenderloin steaks
  • 2 x Frzn pie dough crusts
  • 1 c. Diced mushrooms
  • 1/4 c. Diced onion
  • 1 x Clove crushed garlic Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 x Egg Brandy or possibly red wine, (optional)

Directions

  1. METHOD OF PRODUCTION:1. Over medium heat, cook mushrooms, onion, and garlic till the volume is reduced by 1/
  2. If you are adding wine, do so now, and cook 2 more min.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Lightly season each steak with salt and pepper.
  5. Spread 2-3 Tbsp. of the mushroom mix onto the top of each steak.
  6. Wrap each steak with pie dough.
  7. Seal all dough seams with a light brushing of egg. Brush egg over top of crust.
  8. Bake at 350 till cooked at desired doneness. Medium is approximately 25 min.
  9. Serve with your favorite gravy and vegetables.
  10. Serves 4
