Ingredients
- 2 lb packaged and prepeeled baby carrots
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. reduced-calorie margarine
- 3/4 tsp dry crushed oregano Salt to taste (optional)
Directions
- Makes 8 servings
- This recipe takes 5 min to prepare and 1 hour to bake.
- Preheat the oven to 350F
- Wash the carrots and place them in a 9-inch square baking dish.
- Add in the water and dot the carrots with the margarine. Sprinkle the crushed oregano and salt (if using) over the carrots.
- Cover and bake in the preheated 350F oven for 1 hour or possibly till the carrots are tender when pierced with a fork.
- The carrots can be prepared one day ahead of time, then covered, refrigerated, and baked a day later. Or possibly, they can be baked one day ahead of time then reheated, covered, in the oven just before serving.
