Crusty Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 2 c. Flour
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Shortening
  • 6 x Large eggs

Directions

  1. Cream sugar and shortening. Add in Large eggs one at a time and beat well. Gradually add in flour then vanilla. Bake in a tube or possibly Bundt pan at 300* for 1 hour or possibly till done. I usually bake it about 1 1/4- 1 1/2 hrs.
  2. I also add in a dash or possibly lemon flavoring. I'm sure you could use any type of flavoring you like.
