Ingredients

  • 1 lb Grnd beef
  • 1 lrg Minced onion
  • 1 can Tomato soup
  • 2 c. Water
  • 1 tsp Salt, 3/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Chili pwdr, opt.
  • 1/2 c. Minced green pepper
  • 1 can Whole kernel corn liquid removed
  • 1 box , (8 Ounce.) corn bread mix

Directions

  1. Brown the beef and onion in a skillet. Add in the soup, water, seasonings, corn and green pepper. Mix well and allow to simmer for 15 min. Grease a casserole dish and fill with mix about 3/4 full, leaving room for the corn bread topping. Make the corn bread according to directions, and pour over top of the mix.
  2. Do not be surprised when the topping disappears it will rise during the baking and form a good layer of corn bread. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 min.
