  1. In 2- 2-1/2 quart bowl, combine butter syrup and sugar. Microwave high 9-15 min till brittle threads form when dropped in cool water. Stir every 3 min. In buttered 5 quart or possibly larger container combine popcorn and nuts.
  2. Stir vanilla into syrup mix and pour over popcorn mix. Stir with meat fork till well coated. Spread single layer on 2 large sheets of waxed paper.
  3. Stand until hard and then break into small pcs and store in airtight container.
