Citrus Tea Punch With Fresh Mint

Ingredients

  • 10 c. boiling water
  • 6 x tea bags
  • 6 whl cloves Zest of 1 lemon removed in strips Zest of 1 orange removed in strips
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 can frzn lemonade - (12 ounce) thawed
  • 2 Tbsp. mint leaves
  • 10 x mint sprigs

Directions

  1. Pour boiling water over tea bags, cloves, lemon zest and orange zest. Cover. Let steep 5 min.
  2. Use tongs to transfer tea bags to plate (when cold sufficient to handle, squeeze tea bags over pot to release all tea); stir in sugar till dissolved. Stir in lemonade. Refrigerateseveral hrs or possibly up to 2 days.
  3. One hour before serving, stir in mint leaves and chill. Strain tea. Put ice cubes in chilled stemmed glasses. Pour in tea; garnish with mint sprig.
  4. This recipe yields 10 servings.
