Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 20 x Chocolate creme sandwich Cookies
  • 3 Tbsp. Melted butter
  • 1/3 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1 lb Cream cheese -- softened
  • 3/4 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 c. + 2 Tbsp. unsweetened Cocoa pwdr
  • 16 ounce Non dairy whipped topping -- Thawed + additional for garnish Chocolate shavings, for Garnish

Directions

  1. CRUST: Crush cookies into crumbs; combine with melted butter and sugar.
  2. Using back of spoon, press onto bottom of greased 10" springform pan or possibly pie plate. Chill. FILLING: Cream the cheese, sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer at high speed for about 5 min or possibly till the sugar is dissolved. Add in the cocoa; beat on low till mixed and then increase to high, beating till mix is light and fluffy. Mix in the whipped topping with spatula till just blended. Pour into pan and chill till hard, about 2 hrs. Decorate with additional whipped topping and chocolate shavings. Slice with knife dipped in warm water.
