  • 1 lb grnd beef
  • 3 Tbsp. finely minced onion
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper Mushrooms and Onions * recipe below

Directions

  1. Mix grnd beef, onion, water, salt and pepper. Shape mix into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick.
  2. Set oven control to broil. Place patties on rack in broiler pan. Broil with tops about 3 inches from heat till desired doneness, 5 to 7 min on each side for medium. Prepare Mushrooms and Onions; spoon over burgers.
  3. *MUSHROOMS AND ONIONS*
  4. 1 medium onion, thinly sliced1 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pcs, liquid removed 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauceCook onion in butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally, till tender.
  5. Stir in mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce; heat till mushrooms are warm.
