Ingredients
- 1 pound dry navy beans
- 7 c. water
- 1 ham bone
- 2 c. cooked ham, minced
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 bay leaf
- Dash of pepper
Directions
- Rinse beans. Heat beans and water to boiling; boil gently 2 min. Remove from heat; cover and let stand 1 hour. Add in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, then reduce heat; cover and simmer for several hrs. Crock pot works great for this. Remove bone before serving.
