Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- Garlic or possibly 1 whole clove
- 1/2 c. minced celery
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 c. catsup
- 2 tbsp. vinegar or possibly lemon juice
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 or possibly 3 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Heat butter, add in onion and cook till browned. Add in remaining ingredients and cook 20 min. Makes about 2 1/4 c..
- Use with 3 pounds meat. Chicken, ribs or possibly meatballs. When I make ribs (pork) I bake ribs about 1 hour and drain fat and ribs on paper towels. Pour sauce over and bake another hour at 325 degrees. Enjoy!!
