Apple Goat Cheese And Prosciutto Bruschetta Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. goat cheese, softened at room temperature
  • 3/4 tsp chopped fresh thyme leaves, or possibly 1/4 tsp. dry thyme
  • 1/4 tsp freshly grnd black pepper
  • 8 slc (or possibly half slices) hard crusty bread, each about 3-by-4 inches
  • 8 x thin slices prosciutto (about 1/2 lb.)
  • 1 x Fuji apple, cored and very thinly sliced Preheat broiler.

Directions

  1. Combine cheese, thyme and black pepper; set aside.
  2. Place bread on baking sheet; broil, about 6 inches from heat, till lightly toasted. Loosely pleat prosciutto onto bread.
  3. Cut each piece of bread in half and arrange apple slices, then cheese mix, over prosciutto.
  4. Place bruschetta on baking sheet. Broil till cheese softens slightly.
