I write a Blog on Post Polio Syndrome. I have just done a new post on Cooking. I intend to follow this up with simplified recipes for people who are Disabled or in Wheelchairs and still like to cook.

I have posted a link to my Blog Post on "Cooking from a Wheelchair" under "Tips and Helpful hints!" I am not sure where I should be posting this (or if)....so I will include the link here as well. Just copy and pste into your browser.

Even if you are not in a wheelchair, you may find some good hints here.

Re: Disabled cook

This is great - Linda - why not start your own group here, on CES - and we can see your recipes and add to them, as we develop ours. Everyone needs great ideas in the kitchen. Of course, when it comes to cooking - you are tremendously 'abled', no 'dis' about it, and your blog shows it in flying colors. Looking forward to sharing ideas with you - best regards - Amos

And here we are just 4 days later, and you have a group on CES that is already drawing attention! Outstanding. As Martha would say: "Its a good thing..." Welcome!

Re: Disabled cook

Hi, Amos, and everyone! So glad Linda has set up a group for those of us with really limited energy. First, I was disabled by Polio as a child, but that didn't stop me; then I was distracted by raising 3 boys! But, then I taught my boys and husband to cook, and life got easier and more fun! Then, I was sidelined by Post Polio Syndrome (and may end up in a wheelchair, too, whenever that might happen). But, I refuse, like Linda and others to give up on cooking!
