Ingredients

  • 3/4 C granulated sugar
  • 1/2 C butter-softened
  • 1/2 C water
  • 1/3 C milk
  • 2 TSP vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 C all-purpose flour
  • 2 TSP baking soda
  • 1/2 TSP salt
  • 1/4 TSP cinnamon
  • 1/8 TSP ground cloves
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 C powdered sugar
  • 1/4 TSP vanilla
  • 3 TBS milk (more if you'd like a thinner consistency) Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Grease a 9X5 inch loaf pan with shortening or cooking spray
