Sweet Potato Casserole

Tired of the same ole sweet potatoes with marshmellows? This is a wonderfully tasty and easy to prepare recipe. For the holidays, prepare this early and just bake before the meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups canned sweet potatoes, drained
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • topping:
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup self rising flour
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, optional

Directions

  1. Mix ingredients until well blended, pour into casserol dish.
  2. Topping: melt butter then add other ingredients. Mix well. Sprinkle over top of potato mix. Bake at 350 for 30 - 45 minutes.
