Ingredients

  • 1 lb pinto beans
  • 7 c. water (approximate)
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lb sausage meat cut up
  • For sausage meat I use Owens
  • 1 pkt Chili-O Mix
  • 1/4 c. Sugar

Directions

  1. Cover rinsed, sorted beans with water in Crockpot. Add in package Chilo-O mix and pepper. Cook on low overnight.
  2. The following morning add in 1/2 pound uncooked Owens breakfast sausage (the kind which comes in a plastic tube) and 1/4 c. sugar. Stir occasionally.
  3. Cook on high about 4 hrs longer.
