Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. oats
- 3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 c. chocolate pcs
Directions
- Beat together butter, sugars, egg, water, and vanilla till creamy. Combine oats, flour, salt, baking soda, and chocolate pcs; mix well both sets of ingredients.
- Place about 1/4 c. of dough per cookie on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 min. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
- Patients at Scripps Clinic in San Diego praise these oatmeal cookies. They say they are the best ever.
