- 1 1/4 cups penne, rigatoni or other bite-size pasta
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 tbs chili powder
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 green pepper
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tbs capers
- 1/3 cup green olives mine were stuffed with anchovies
- 1/3 cup dry-cured Greek olives
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- 15oz (450gr) whole tomatoes, drained
- 12oz (350gr) tuna, canned

.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'll%20admit,%20I%20didn't%20start%20out%20participating....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20first%20post%20wasn't%20until%20May%20of%20that%20year.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20started%20I%20was%20fairly%20consistent,%20rarely%20missing%20a%20week%20until%20we%20moved%2018%20months%20ago.%20Lack%20of%20internet%20and%20no%20working%20kitchen%20made%20it%20a%20bit%20difficult.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20just%20getting%20back%20into%20the%20groove,%20so%20to%20speak,%20when%20mon%20mari%20had%20his%20pancreas%20removed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStrange%20as%20it%20may%20seem,%20his%20tastes%20underwent%20some%20changes%20as%20well.%20%20For%20the%20first%20few%20months%20he%20didn't%20like%20-%20are%20you%20sitting%20down?....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20didn't%20like%20pasta!%20%20It%20just%20didn't%20taste%20'right'%20to%20him.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20also%20didn't%20like%20wine....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFortunately,%20as%20time%20went%20on%20and%20he%20recovered%20from%20the%20surgery,%20(and%20stopped%20taking%20all%20the%20meds)%20his%20taste%20for%20both%20pasta%20and%20wine%20has%20returned.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe's%20even%20started%20liking%20tuna%20again%20-%20but%20that's%20another%20story.%20%20Let's%20just%20say%20that%20I%20was%20able%20to%20make%20one%20of%20my%20favorite%20pasta%20dishes%20the%20other%20night%20for%20the%20first%20time%20in%20a%20long%20while.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20a%20simple%20pasta%20full%20of%20Mediterranean%20flavors.%20Tuna%20is%20not%20a%20traditional%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eingredient,%20but%20it%20makes%20a%20more%20substantial%20main%20course%20for%20our%20way%20of%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eeating.%20In%20Italy,%20this%20would%20be%20served%20without%20tuna,%20as%20a%20pasta%20course.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPasta%20Puttanesca%20with%20Tuna%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECook%20pasta%20according%20to%20package%20directions.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChop%20onion,%20pepper%20and%20mince%20garlic.%20Cut%20olives%20in%20half.%20Roughly%20chop%20tomatoes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20oil%20in%20a%20medium%20nonstick%20skillet.%20Add%20onion,%20pepper,%20garlic%20and%20chili%20powder.%20Saut%C3%A9%20until%20onion%20is%20tender.%20Add%20chopped%20tomatoes%20with%20their%20juices%20from%20chopping,%20capers,%20olives%20and%20herbs.%20Simmer,%20uncovered%20until%20thick,%20about%2010%20minutes.%20Drain%20and%20flake%20tuna.%20Add%20to%20sauce%20and%20heat%20through.%20Drain%20pasta,%20toss%20with%20sauce%20and%20serve.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVisit%20Presto%20Pasta%20Nights%20on%20Friday%20to%20drool%20over%20all%20of%20the%20wonderful%20pastas%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
