.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20something%20happened%20to%20change%20everything%20and%20that%20something%20is%20called%20Social%20Media.%20Now%20I%20know%20what%20someone%20is%20doing%20in%20their%20garden,%20I%20see%20the%20images%20of%20flowers,%20tree%20lined%20streets%20bursting%20with%20blooms%20and%20kids%20playing%20outside%20all%20while%20I%E2%80%99m%20sipping%20some%20coffee%20and%20wondering%20if%20the%20dusting%20of%20snow%20we%20had%20this%20morning%20will%20melt%20today.%20I%20want%20to%20revert%20to%20childhood%20and%20have%20a%20tantrum%20but%20then%20I%20recall%20those%20never%20worked%20and%20doubt%20it%20would%20now.%20Don%E2%80%99t%20you%20know,%20we%20are%20ready%20too??!!%20But%20we%20have%20to%20be%20a%20bit%20more%20patient%20and%20I%E2%80%99m%20hoping%20this%20citrus%20inspired%20cocktail%20will%20help!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20did%20have%20to%20make%20a%20grocery%20run%20for%20the%20Orange%20Marmalade;%20not%20something%20I%20typically%20do.%20So%20I%20checked%20out%20my%20fridge%20and%20pantry%20and%20found%20a%20couple%20of%20other%20things%20I%20needed%20and%20headed%20out.%20Of%20course%20I%20left%20the%20list%20I%20made%20at%20home%20and%20hoped%20I%20was%20remembering%20the%20items%20on%20it.%20I%20did%20a%20great%20job%20if%20you%20can%20forgive%20me%20for%20forgetting%20the%20orange%20marmalade%20that%20was%20the%20sole%20purpose%20of%20the%20trip%20in%20the%20first%20place!%20Really%20Barbara?%20I%20thoroughly%20berated%20myself%20and%20made%20plans%20to%20go%20again.%20Thankfully%20I%20found%20a%20perfect%20trade.%20My%20neighbor%20Amy%20asked%20if%20I%20wanted%20to%20watch%20her%20pup%20AND%20she%20had%20a%20new%20jar%20of%20orange%20marmalade%20in%20her%20pantry%20that%20I%20could%20use.%20Shh%E2%80%A6don%E2%80%99t%20tell;%20but%20I%20won.%20I%20adore%20the%20pup%20AND%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20have%20to%20shop%20again?%20No%20trade%20there;%20as%20a%20matter%20of%20fact%20I%20think%20I%20owe%20her!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20original%20recipe%20was%20inspired%20by%20one%20I%20was%20sent%20from%20the%20folks%20at%20Partida%20tequila;%20I%20made%20a%20couple%20of%20revisions%20including%20their%20name.%20As%20cute%20as%20%E2%80%98Breakfast%20Margarita%E2%80%99%20might%20sound%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20go%20that%20direction%20mostly%20because%20I%20don%E2%80%99t%20recommend%20a%20margarita%20in%20the%20morning.%20Why?%20Because%20I%E2%80%99ve%20made%20and%20HAD%20a%20margarita%20in%20the%20morning%20and%20I%20was%20wasted.%20Not%20wasted%20in%20the%20sense%20someone%20in%20their%2020%E2%80%99s%20might%20be%20alluding%20too.%20Nope;%20I%20just%20wanted%20to%20nap%20at%2010am.%20Oh%20why%20can%E2%80%99t%20we%20nap%20when%20we%20want%20to%20now%20that%20we%20know%20how%20nice%20it%20is?%20WHY????%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20was%20so%20easy%20to%20put%20together%20and%20really%20the%20perfect%20cocktail.%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20add%20my%20standard%20salt/sugar%20mix%20to%20the%20rim%20but%20you%20could;%20it%20was%20just%20interesting%20to%20have%20a%20margarita%20without%20it%20for%20a%20change.%20The%20jam?%20Just%20perfect.%20Marmalade%20includes%20some%20of%20the%20rind%20in%20the%20processing%20so%20it%E2%80%99s%20not%20as%20sweet%20as%20jelly%20or%20preserves%20and%20it%20added%20a%20great%20touch%20to%20this%20cocktail.%20If%20you%E2%80%99re%20not%20experimenting%20with%20jams%20in%20your%20cocktail%20making;%20why%20not?%20They%20are%20a%20great%20alternative,%20especially%20during%20the%20cooler%20months%20when%20they%20can%20open%20doors%20to%20cocktail%20making%20that%20might%20not%20be%20possible%20for%20lack%20of%20fresh%20fruit.%20I%20made%20this%20Rosemary%20Cherry%20Crush%20in%202013%20with%20tequila,%20rosemary%20and%20cherry%20preserves%20and%20it%20remains%20a%20huge%20favorite%20today%20so%20I%E2%80%99m%20no%20stranger%20to%20the%20use%20of%20preserves.%20Bartenders%20have%20been%20using%20them%20for%20decades%20too%20so%20I%20know%20I%E2%80%99m%20on%20the%20right%20path.%20Next?%20How%20about%20something%20with%20peach?%20Peaches%20make%20their%20presence%20known%20here%20in%20late%20summer%20but%20I%E2%80%99m%20thinking%20a%20Peach%20Julep%20would%20be%20nice%20for%20the%20Derby,%20hmm?%20Let%E2%80%99s%20plan%20on%20it.%20The%20flowers%20will%20be%20in%20bloom%20by%20then%20too.%20Or%20had%20better%20be!%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBarbOrange%20Marmalade%20Margarita%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESave%20Recipe%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1/2%20oz%20Agave%20syrup%20(1%20part%20agave%20nectar%20and%201%20part%20water%20or%20make%20a%20simple%20syrup%20with%201%20part%20sugar%20and%201%20part%20water%20heated%20just%20until%20the%20sugar%20dissolves;%20cool).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOrange%20slices%20for%20garnish.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPut%20all%20of%20the%20ingredients%20except%20the%20orange%20slices%20into%20a%20cocktail%20shaker%20filled%20with%20ice.%20Shake%20until%20ice%20cold%20and%20strain%20into%20an%20ice%20filled%20rocks%20glass.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGarnish%20with%20an%20orange%20slice.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENotes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20original%20recipe%20that%20I%20loved%20used%203%201/2%20oz%20tequila%20for%202%20cocktails.%20I%20heard%20it%20seemed%20a%20bit%20too%20strong%20so%20I've%20revised%20it%20to%203%20oz%20because%20it's%20easier%20to%20add%20a%20bit%20more%20than%20take%20away%20that%20same%20bit!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20loved%20it%20with%20the%20original%20amount%20but%20I%20did%20use%20a%20good%20aged%20tequila%20so%20test%20a%20bit%20to%20find%20the%20perfect%20mix%20for%20you.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.3%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ehttp://www.creative-culinary.com/orange-marmalade-margarita/%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
