Ingredients
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 egg, separated
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch in a 1 qt glass casserole dish. Add in lowfat milk gradually and blend well. Cook uncovered 6-8 min at bake 60. Stir often.
- Beat egg yolk and stir a little of warm mix into yolk. Return to casserole dish. Cook uncovered 1-1 1/2 min at bake 60 or possibly till mix coats a metal spoon.
- Beat egg white till stiff and fold into warm mix, gently but thoroughly. Fold in vanilla. Pour into bowl to cold.
