Ingredients

  • 3 c. water
  • 1 lb pitted cherries
  • 2 lb combination of summer fruit Cinnamon
  • 1 x lemon
  • 1/4 c. sugar (can be omitted)

Directions

  1. Put 3 c. water in a pot. Add in 1 lb. pitted cherries and an additional 2 pounds of summer fruit (green grapes and ripe peaches are particularly good and additional cherries if they are running cheap. Don't use plums.
  2. Feel free to experiment). Add in 1/4 c. sugar, 1 lemon cut into wedges (don't remove skin), and cinnamon to taste. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered, for 5 min. Cold. Chill Serve cool with a dollop of lowfat sour cream, as they say. Lasts in refrigerator for at least 3 days. Extremely refreshing on a warm summer night.
