Jalapeno Cheese Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Lowfat sour cream
  • 1/8 c. Water (for Welbilt/Dak machines add in 2 tb More water)
  • 1 x Egg
  • 3 c. All-purpose or possibly unbleached flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 c. (4 ounces) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. Seeded and minced fresh jalapeno pepper (about 4 peppers) or possibly canned diced jalapeno peppers
  • 2 tsp RED STAR active dry yeast for all machines except 1 1/2-lb. Panasonic/ National machines (use 3 tsp. RED STAR active dry yeast) and 1 1/2-lb. Welbilt/Dak machines (use

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in bread pan, select a light crust setting, and press
  2. "start".
  3. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack, and allow to cold 1 hour before slicing.
