- Artichokes : 1 or 2 (as required, I made one)

- Breadcrumbs: 1/2 cup, for stuffing
- Pecorino cheese: 1/4 cup, grated
- Red chili flakes: a dash
- Black pepper: a dash
- Olive oil: 2-3 tsp
- Vegetable Stock: 1/2 cup
- Grated Parmesan cheese : 3-4 tsp

.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOK,%20back%20to%20what%20we%20are%20going%20to%20do%20next.%20This%20was%20a%20call%20for%20me%20to%20go%20in%20the%20kitchen%20and%20give%20this%20%22Stuffed%20Steamed%20Artichoke%22%20a%20shot.%20Here%20I'm%20a%20sharing%20a%20recipe%20inspired%20by%20the%20the%20show,%20with%20a%20few%20variations.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOkie-dokie%20-%20My%20Atrichokie%20Ingredients%20to%20prepare%20Seasoned%20Bread%20Crumbs:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBrown%20Bread%20:%205-6%20slices%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDry%20Oregano:%201/4%20tsp%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDry%20Basil:%201/4%20tsp%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDry%20Parsley:%201/4%20tsp%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESalt/Pepper%20to%20taste%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod%20to%20make%20Crumbs:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMake%20a%20pile%20of%20bread%20slices%20and%20cut%20them%20into%20small%20chunks.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpread%20the%20bread%20in%20a%20oven%20proof%20dish.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMicrowave%20on%20medium%20power%20for%203-4%20minutes,%20or%20until%20crunchy.%20Crumble%20the%20chunks%20to%20make%20fine%20powder.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20bowl,%20mix%20the%20herbs,%20salt%20and%20bread%20crumbs.%20Blend%20all%20the%20ingredients%20well%20to%20make%20bread%20crumbs%20seasoned%20with%20Italian%20herbs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst%20to%20prepare%20the%20artichoke,%20trim%20the%20stem%20off%20the%20bottom%20so%20artichoke%20can%20stand%20straight.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20artichoke%20on%20its%20side%20and%20cut%20off%20the%20top%20inch%20or%20so%20to%20remove%20top%20thorns.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20scissors,%20cut%20and%20remove%20thorny%20tips%20from%20remaining%20leaves.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20a%20spoon,%20scoop%20out%20the%20choke%20from%20the%20center%20of%20the%20artichoke.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECut%20one%20lemon%20in%20half%20and%20squeeze%20into%20a%20large%20bowl%20of%20cold%20water.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EToss%20in%20the%20squeezed%20artichokes%20to%20prevent%20discoloration%20while%20you%20make%20the%20stuffing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20I%20wasn't%20very%20quick%20to%20do%20this,%20you%20can%20see%20some%20portions%20darkening%20fast.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Green%20Bud%20BeautyIn%20a%20bowl,%20combine%20the%20seasoned%20breadcrumbs,%20pecorino%20cheese,%20chili%20flakes,%20pepper,%20zest%20from%20remaining%20lemon%20and%20olive%20oil.%20Adjust%20the%20salt%20to%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDrain%20artichokes%20&%20set%20in%20the%20bowl%20of%20crumbs%20and%20opening%20one%20leaf%20at%20a%20time,%20push%20about%20a%20teaspoonful%20of%20crumbing%20in%20each.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFill%20cavity%20with%20crumbs,%20or%20alternately,%20pat%20crumbs%20over%20top.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESet%20the%20artichokes%20in%20a%20large%20pot%20fitted%20with%20a%20tight%20lid.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20vegetable%20stock%20in%20approximately%201/3%20up%20the%20sides%20of%20the%20artichokes.%20(%20I%20made%20some%20vegetable%20stock%20%20by%20boiling%202%20diced%20tomato,%201%20onion,%20some%20peas%20with%20fresh%20parsley%20and%201/2%20tsp%20salt%20).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBring%20stock%20to%20a%20boil,%20cover%20pot,%20and%20reduce%20heat%20to%20a%20low%20simmer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECook%20in%20the%20pot%20for%2030-35%20minutes%20until%20a%20center%20leaf%20pulls%20out%20with%20ease%20and%20flesh%20is%20tender.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20artichoke%20from%20pot,%20garnish%20with%20more%20grated%20Parmesan%20cheese.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVoila,%20warm%20artichoke%20is%20ready%20to%20be%20savored.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20I%20did%20not%20prepare%20any%20dip,%20I%20took%20the%20juicy%20vegetable%20syrup%20from%20our%20pot%20in%20to%20a%20little%20bowl%20&%20Soft%20artichoke%20hearts%20are%20ready%20to%20get%20dipped%20in%20&%20enjoyed%20......%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAt%20last%20I%20got%20the%20recipe%20going,%20full%20of%20%20fiber%20and%20nutrients%20in%20the%20Green%20Buds%20&%20the%20best%20part%20is%20that%20it%20is%20steamed%20and%20healthy.%20My%20family%20enjoyed%20yummy%20stuffed%20Artichokes%20and%20hope%20you%20like%20it%20too...!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESharing%20the%20Stuffed%20Artichoke%20at%20Lets%20Do%20Brunch;%20Hearth%20and%20Soul%20Hop;%20Simple%20Lives%20Thursday%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
