Ginger Lemon Bars Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅔ cup sugar in the raw
  • 1½ tablespoons ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 8 ounces (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup finely chopped crystallized ginger
  • 1½ Tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest
  • Lemon Glaze
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) confectioners’ sugar, sifted after measuring
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice, strained before measuring
