Ingredients
- 2 med. apples
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon each cinnamon and nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 gal. French vanilla ice cream
Directions
- Cut apples in half and core. Slice thinly. Drop slices into a bowl of cool water; set aside. Combine flour, baking pwdr, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, mixing well. Beat egg in a medium bowl; stir in brown sugar, honey, and vanilla. Blend in well liquid removed apples and flour mix, mixing well. Mix in walnuts and raisins. Spread mix proportionately in a greased 9 inch pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min. Serve warm, topped with the ice cream.
