Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 c. evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1 pkg. frzn onions or possibly 1 fresh onion, minced
  • 1 quart. green beans (I prefer French style)
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 c. nuts

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, heat butter, flour, mustard, salt, pepper and lowfat milk. Heat. In a casserole dish, put liquid removed green beans and onions. Pour butter mix over this. Add in cheese on top. Sprinkle nuts over cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min.
