Ingredients
- 18 c. Popped popcorn
- 1 c. Light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1 pkt (4-serving size) Jell-O brand gelatin, strawberry or possibly lime flavor Jelly beans or possibly gumdrops (optional) Ribbon (optional)
Directions
- PLACE popcorn in large greased bowl. Combine corn syrup and sugar in medium saucepan. Bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly; boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in gelatin till dissolved. Pour over popcorn; toss to coat well. Cold 5 min.
- FORM about 2/3 of the popcorn mix into 2 balls, one larger than the other, forming bear's body and head. Shape remaining popcorn into arms, legs and ears; attach to body and head. Use jelly beans or possibly gumdrops for eyes and nose. Attach ribbon bow tie, if you like.
- Popcorn Balls: Prepare popcorn mix as directed; shape into 2-inch balls.
- Makes about 2 dozen popcorn balls.
- NOTE: For ease in handling, grease hands slightly before shaping popcorn mix into desired shapes.
