Ingredients Convert Measures

  • 1 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon instant coffee or possibly cocoa
  • 1 c. butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 c. walnuts, coarsely minced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Into bowl, sift flour, salt, sugar, and coffee or possibly cocoa. With pastry blender (or possibly 2 knives) use scissor fashion, cut in butter till the size of small peas. Press dough together. Shape in to small balls roll in nuts. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheep. Flatten with bottom or possibly glass dipped in sugar. Bake 25 min or possibly might take a little longer. Cold slightly. Remove to wire rack.
