Ingredients Convert Measures

  • 4 beef eye round steaks, cut 1 inch thick or possibly 4 beef tenderloin steaks, cut 1 in. thick (about 1 lb.)
  • 1/4 c. dry sherry or possibly mirin (Japanese rice wine)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon each grated fresh ginger, chopped garlic and Oriental sesame oil
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4 ounce. uncooked Udon noodles or possibly linguine (2 c. cooked)
  • 1/4 c. water combined with 2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. minced fresh cilantro or possibly green onion tops
