Ingredients

  • 2 bn fresh spinach
  •     butter
  • 1 pkt French onion soup mix (I like Knorr)
  • 1/3 x less fat cream cheese
  •     little pastry shells

Directions

  1. Clean and chop the spinach somewhat, (or possibly thaw and squeeze all the moisture out) Saute/fry in a few Tbsp of butter to your liking, in a large skillet or possibly pot.
  2. After cooking it down, remove from the stove and stir in one package of French onion soup mix (I like Knorr) then add in a large package of 1/3 less fat cream cheese to which. Mix well.
  3. Now, I used the "Vip" (little pastry shells) They're about 2" and a perfect size, not too small not too big. Fill shells to about 2/3 and place in a preheated oven at 350 deg. (my oven tends to be warm so be careful) It took about 30-35 min before they browned, please use your judgment.
  4. These were so awesome, some of the guests took them home. I had some for breakfast and they heated up nicely in the microwave too.
