Shrimp Creole (Momma's Recipe) Recipe
LOVE this one! It's not hot - so the kids should like it. It is a favorite from my childhood and still to this day. You can add heat by throwing in some peppers or your favorite hot sauce. Enjoy!

Ingredients Convert Measures
- 5 lbs. shrimp
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. flour
- 3 c. water
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp. thyme
- 1 large onion
- 2 large cloves garlic
- 1 cup chopped parsley
- 1 1/2 cup green pepper
- salt & pepper to taste
- 2 pts. tomatoes
- juice of 1 lemon
Directions
- Melt butter
- Add flour - brown lightly
- Add seasonings & onion, pepper,etc.
- Add everything else - except shrimp.
- When onions & bell peppers are done, add shrimp.
- Cook until they turn pink (3-5 minutes).
- Serve over rice (delish!)
