Ingredients Convert Measures
- 4 pork fillets or possibly steak, deboned (1 per serving)
- 4 tbsp. soy sauce
- 4 tbsp. Sake (Japanese rice wine)
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- Healthy pinch black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 green onion, minced
- 1 c. panko (Japanese bread crumbs)
- Peanut oil for frying
Directions
- (Available at Japanese market, Pak N Save, and Fry's in Oriental section.)
- Lb. fillets till thin. Marinate for 1/2 hour in a mix of soy sauce, sake, garlic and pepper. Mix the beaten egg and green onion and dip each pork slice into the mix. Place the crumbs into the pork. Place on trays covered with wax paper and refrigeratefor 1 hour.
