Pork Chops With Wine

Ingredients

  • 6 thick pork chops
  • 1 T shortening
  • 3 T chopped onion
  • 1 T prepared mustard
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. beef bouillon
  • 1/2 c. dry red wine
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 T cornstarch

Directions

  1. Brown pork chops in shortening. When good and brown, add in onion, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, bouillon, red wine, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or possibly till chops are tender. Remove the chops and add in the cornstarch mixed with water to dissolve. Stir till smooth. Serve over chops.
