I got this recipe on a trip to New Orleans.
For a pork dish that's "not like the rest". Uses basic, old fashion bacon grease, It's a keeper!

Ingredients Convert Measures
- 6 center cut pork chops with filets 3/4" thick
- Seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 large sweet onions, sliced in thin rings
- 6 tablespoon sherry
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- garlic salt
Directions
- Sprinkle garlic salt on pork chops
- Coat them in seasoned bread crumbs
- Brown in bacon fat
- Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water
- Add to chops
- Simmer covered for 1 - 1.5 hours
- Turn once
- If desired, thicken the sauce with a little flour before serving with rice or a potato dish
